Washington Memorial Chapel, Saturday September 11, 2021 at 9:30am
You are invited to join us for a somber service of sung Morning Prayer on September 11, 2021, as we commemorate the 20th anniversary of the attacks that took place on September 11, 2001. The service will begin in silence and prayer in the Chapel. Following the service, we will process to the gravesite of Louis J. Nacke II, one of the heroes of Flight 93, who is buried in our Washington Memorial Chapel Churchyard to conclude our time together in prayer. We welcome all first responders to join us for this service. During the service, Fr. Thompson will offer a prayer for all first responders.
Throughout the morning, the bells will be tolled from our Washington Memorial Chapel Carillon tower to mark the times when the planes crashed and when the towers collapsed.
