KIRKIN O’ THE TARTANS ON THANKSGIVING DAY

All Are Welcome!

On Thanksgiving Day at 9:00 AM, we will honor a long-standing Scottish American tradition as we gather for the Kirkin O’ The Tartans – a Blessing of the Tartans.  The service is a celebration of Scottish heritage and a chance to remember the important role of  The Scottish Episcopal Church at the time of the formation of The Episcopal Church in the United States. The Scottish consecrated the first American Bishop Samuel Seabury.

The Kirkin is a cherished Thanksgiving Day tradition here at Chapel, we hope you will join us in making this a special part of your holiday tradition!  We are happy to welcome back The Valley Forge Highland Band this year.  Please bring your tartans to be blessed, wear your tartan, or come as you are to join us in a lovely service celebrating Scottish Heritage and Thanksgiving Day.
