You have likely noticed that we have not had a smooth livestream offering in months here at the Chapel. This is due solely to our very limited internet at the Chapel due to restrictions in the National Historic Park. It is 2022, and we are not far from Philadelphia, and yet, we have no broadband services available to us in the Park. We currently use a mobile hotspot (just like your mobile phone uses), and it proves to be completely unstable.
Because of this, we are calling an audible. Beginning this weekend, instead of live-streaming each service on Facebook, we are going to record the Sunday 10am Mass and publish to YouTube. We hope it will be available sometime late Sunday afternoon or early Sunday evening. Once we have a good understanding of how long it takes our tech to upload the video and for YouTube to process and make it available, we will announce an every Sunday broadcast time for the Virtual option.
For now, please subscribe to the Chapel’s YouTube channel. The Mass for the Fifth Sunday in Lent will appear there sometime Sunday afternoon or evening. After you subscribe to the channel, click the bell to receive notifications of when new content is available. This will ensure you won’t miss any services or other video content from your beloved Chapel community.
Of course, there is no substitute to being together with the body of Christ in person. If you haven’t been with us in person in a while, we do hope to see you soon. If you are some one who absolutely cannot make it to the Chapel in person, we hope that the much higher quality video and audio recording that will be published on YouTube will be edifying and make you feel better connected to your parish community at WMC.
