For more than seventy years, this series has brought many of the world’s finest carillonneurs to perform in the beautiful pastoral setting of Valley Forge National Historical Park. These concerts continue to provide enjoyment and inspiration for residents of the region and for visitors from across the country and around the world.

In celebration of America’s 250th Anniversary, this year’s series will feature distinguished American carillonneurs performing music connected with our nation’s history and heritage. The concerts begin on Wednesday, July 1, with a recital by our own Chapel Carillonneur, Doug Gefvert.

The ever-popular Irish Thunder Pipes & Drums will join us again for a special performance on Wednesday, September 9, with a program that includes many well-loved American selections.

The Chapel will also continue its Sunday Afternoon Mini-Concerts in the spring and fall. These informal 20-minute recitals are presented live at 1:30, 2:30, and 3:30 p.m., weather permitting. Spring performances take place in April, May, and June, and fall performances in September, October, and November. Performed by Chapel Carillonneur Doug Gefvert, these short concerts provide Chapel and Park visitors – many of whom might not otherwise hear the carillon – the chance to experience this unique musical instrument.
