Welcome to Washington Memorial Chapel: The Nation’s Bethel.
Welcome to Washington Memorial Chapel at Valley Forge. The most common question asked of us is “Are you a real church?” So let us start by saying, “Yes. We are a real church!” We have regular services and ministries like any other church. We welcome you to join us for worship, education, fellowship, or some other event or ministry. Our growing parish would love to welcome you!
We are also a unique parish as we were built by the American people, for the American people, as a message to the American people. Our Chapel honors George Washington and the patriots (civilian and military), who struggled and sacrificed for the freedoms we enjoy today.
As an architectural gem on the National Register of Historic Places visited annually by tens of thousands of people from across America and throughout the world, Washington Memorial Chapel preserves the sacred memory of the faith and resilience of the men and women who birthed a nation.

Visit The Chapel campus
Washington Memorial Chapel, while located in Valley Forge National Historic Park, is privately owned. We have close to 50 acres in Valley Forge including our Chapel, the Bell Tower, The Cabin Shop Cafe, the Churchyard (Cemetery), and Defender’s Gate. We are open every day of the week (except for a handful of holidays). Come and see the beauty of our buildings and campus!
